On February 27, 2017 we took a significant step toward this goal by acquiring Abbott Medical Optics (AMO), which joined our vision business to form the new organization, Johnson & Johnson Vision.
The acquisition brings products and expertise in cataract surgery, laser refractive surgery (LASIK) and consumer eye health. Those offerings, combined with our world-leading ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lens business, will expand our eye health offering to reach more patients throughout their lifetime.
