As we proudly uphold the guidance of Our Credo, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. encourages employee volunteerism and involvement in our local communities. We work to improve the lives of our neighbors through education, eye exams, and community involvement, while increasing awareness of the importance of eye health.
Worldwide, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. employees can be found leading the charge for a wide array of volunteer community activities. They mentor school children, donate blood, collect food and clothing for needy families, raise funds for those impacted by natural disasters, and participate in neighborhood revitalization projects, to name a few.
On World Sight Day, a World Health Organization (WHO) sanctioned day, employees demonstrate the spirit of our business as well as our commitment to serve others as they conduct eye screenings in communities across the world. At our headquarters, local outreach also has included educational lectures in libraries, complete eye exams, and volunteering to read books about eye health to school-age children.
Sight for KidsTM is one of our longest running programs, in partnership with the Lions Clubs International Foundation® (LCIF). In its first 10 years, Sight for Kids has provided vision screening to more than 16 million children across Asia Pacific. Our employees have worked closely with LCIF to orchestrate and conduct school-based screenings that remove a simple barrier to healthy vision.
As part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, we aspire to be the most environmentally and socially responsible company in the world and abide by the Johnson & Johnson Healthy Future 2015 goals.
